What we buy

Digital products with a future.

We look for established digital businesses with a useful product, an audience that values it and opportunities to improve. A focused business serving a clear need can be an excellent place to build.

Our buy box

What we look for.

These are the qualities that guide our interest. We look at how they fit together, with attention to the product, the business behind it and the practicalities of a change in ownership.

An established product
A live digital product with a trading history and evidence that people find it useful. We want to understand the business as it operates today, alongside the opportunities ahead.
A lasting audience
Customers, subscribers or readers with a reason to return. A focused audience with a clear need matters more to us than broad appeal alone.
Understandable revenue
A business with existing revenue and a clear explanation of how it earns it. We consider the reliability of that income, the costs behind it and what is needed to sustain it.
Room for improvement
Opportunities to strengthen the product, reach the right customers or improve how the business runs. A good product can have untapped potential even when its operations are still shaped around one founder.
A workable handover
Ownership of the product and its essential assets can transfer, and the knowledge needed to run it can be shared. We want to understand dependencies and responsibilities early.
A shared view of the sale
A founder ready to discuss the business openly and work toward realistic terms. Price, structure and transition all deserve consideration when deciding whether a deal makes sense.

Areas of interest

Different products.
A common foundation.

Digital products take different forms. The common thread is something useful, with an established audience and a business we can continue to develop.

Digital tools.

Products that help people get a task done or make a working day easier. We value a clear use case, repeat use and an understanding of what keeps customers coming back.

Apps and extensions.

Focused products that become part of a routine. We look at the user experience, the relationship with the audience and the technical foundation needed to keep the product reliable.

Content and subscriptions.

Newsletters, publications and other content products built around a distinct audience. Their value can lie in trust, expertise and a habit of returning for something worthwhile.

Before you reach out

Questions about selling.

Does the business need to be growing quickly?

We are interested in durable demand and a business we can understand. Growth is part of the picture, alongside customer loyalty, the quality of the product and the work needed to maintain it. A steady, focused business can be worth a closer look.

Does everything need to be documented?

We expect founders to hold knowledge that is not yet written down. What matters is understanding where the business depends on you and whether that knowledge can transfer. Documentation and training can be part of a practical transition plan.

How do you think about an offer?

We consider the business's financial position, its prospects and the work involved in taking it forward. Price and structure belong in the same conversation, together with the founder's priorities and the support needed for a handover.

What should I share first?

A link, a short description of what the product does, how the business earns revenue and why you are considering a sale. That gives us context for an initial conversation before we discuss more detailed information.
